I have submitted my SIR to UCLA for political science. I will transfer to UCLA in the coming fall. But I failed a major pre-req course. I heard that some people have ever get rescinded becuz of this...

They are quite strict with prereqs so it’s a possibility. Can you appeal? Is there anyway you can retake the class during summer? You should call admissions and see what they say.

Hi Anthony,
I am a senior in the political science department and was also a transfer and while I do not have first hand experience with your situation, I hope that I can be of some help.

UCLA’s political science major is highly impacted and as such during the admissions process they have been known to reject otherwise qualified applicants because they have not yet completed the pre-reqs for the major.

Unfortunately in your case you have failed to complete a pre-req and the received a failing grade for a class, which is probably a violation of your admissions contract. I am sorry about your situation, but I would posit that your chances of being rescinded are quite high.
