UCLA Transfer Guidence Wanted!

I currently attend Santa Monica College and I'm in the Scholars program. My major is Geography and Enviornmental Studies. What should my target GPA be to give myself a great chance of getting in!
I look forward to reading your thoughts.

It’s unnecessary to make two threads regarding the same question within 30 minutes of each other. Even more so when your first thread is already near the top of the forum. People check these forums periodically, so you can’t expect responses instantaneously and if you’re that impatient it’s better to repost in the same thread to bump it up instead of making a new one that’s identical. It just creates excess clutter and bumps down other threads that haven’t been responded to.

Regardless, to answer your question you’ll probably want to stay around a 3.6 for Geography - Environmental Studies. Last year’s average admitted GPA was 3.56, but it’s been as high as 3.63 in recent years. I think if you have a 3.65+, you’ll be pretty much golden and anything in the 3.50-3.60 range should be okay as long as the other areas of your application are strong.

Why wouldn’t your target GPA be a 4.0 every semester?
