alrite well heres my deal...maybe some of u can help me out with this....im headed out of the country for the month of july and into august...so basically i can only make the last orientation day, if i come home early which i dont really want to. I dont want to do this because i dont want all the classes to be taken by then. I was wondering how important is orientation and is it absolutely important to go? What will i miss if i do not plan on goin? and is it possible to make up these things. One thing i wanted to do was talk to my academic councilor to help me select my classes and just a general route for my next 2-3 years, im sure i can do that at a later time i just want to be taking classes that i dont need this comming quarter. Also i would want to talk to my finantial aid councilor too just to clear things up on my epal and stuff. Any suggestions?

you'll have to decide for yourself whether or not you like feeling behind in all the matters discussed and taken care of at Orientation, including class selection. Read the Orientation brochure, you'll find that you're missing out on more than you can fully comprehend at this point.

In my opinion, it's very important and I don't see anything, including work, travel, or illness (I'm usually sick for important events, for some reason) as a proper excuse for missing it. But then again....it's not my call.
