Hi! I am currently a senior in HS. I want to attend Community College for one semester and then transfer to UCLA. (So basically transfer to UCLA in spring of 2012) I want to know what do you need in order to transfer? How many credits? Do they need your SAT scores? Will they ask for your HS transcript?
THANKS!!

I’m afraid that’s not possible. You could apply to UCLA and try to defer admission, but that’s all riding on whether you can get in right out of High school. If you can’t, you’ll have to spend one or two years at a community college, depending on your major and how many AP credits you’ll have.

Whether you transfer or not, UCLA doesn’t do spring admits.

You should really do your research before posting on here. I doubt UCLA accepts spring transfers and even if they do I’m pretty sure you’ll still need sixty units to do so. Just stick it out and try to transfer in a year if you think you can. They don’t look at SAT scores or hs transcripts.

thanks for your help:) i did research I just wanted to make sure. I cant afford the first semester of college and I have already 35 credits from AP scores PLUS more credit from community college classes i took during hs (since freshman year)
Thanks for your help again!

If you already have 35 units from AP scores plus more then you could graduate from HS in Spring of 2011 and then spend Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 at a community college but you would have to wait until Fall 2012 to attend UCLA as a Junior Transfer.

You would submit your application to UCLA in November of 2011. You need to have 60 units completed by the end of Spring 2012 but it sounds like that will be a breeze for you since you already have 35+ done and you’re still in high school.
