Hi I am accepted to UCLA this fall with 4.0 gpa however I got 3b and one c in my overall academic and all of them are my major prep resulting my gpa to 3.7 something. However, my gpa for the last quarter still above 3.0. Is there anyone by lucky know whether my acceptance will be okay or not? I am really afraid i cant make it since i really wanna transfer to ucla. I am a transfer student and I heard UCLA dont want to accept those who got c.

it says I need to report if
a) You dropped any courses which were listed on your application.
b) You changed any courses which were listed on your application.
c) You received poor grades (including 2 or more C grades, any D and/or F grades, any C grades in major preparatory courses).
d) Your 2014 GPA is significantly lower than the GPA with which you were admitted.
e) You fail to meet the provisions of your admissions contract.
Please do not use this form to report hypothetical scenarios/situations.

You need to talk to an admissions counselor ASAP. Preferably have a good explanation, but DO NOT LIE.

They will tell you what you need to do, we can only speculate here.

Since you earned a C in a major prereq, you have to report it. Do it sooner than later. Good luck.

After i reported it what are my chances? Anyone has this experience too?

I think you will be fine, it was just one C. You still have a very good GPA. We could help you more if you told us what your major was.

my major is computer science. but i was just so afraid to report. Does report mean that i will be reconsider?

Also what was the class you got the C in?

its linear algebra(math)

Is that your transferable math class?

Oh wow, CS is super impacted. It makes your situation worst.

yes it is my transferable math class.

so @CollegeDropout1 what do you think? but this is a very hard teacher. I was so unlucky that I need to take him. :(

Unfortunately UCLA isn’t really going to care that it’s a hard teacher.

You have to submit your grades on the link on your admissions page. Once they begin to review your updates, your congrats letter will disappear, and you’ll have something that says, they’re reviewing. Once a decision has been made, either your congrats letter will return, or you’ll get a notice that you’ve been rescinded… Youay also get something that says, if you can do XYZ, they won’t rescind you,

All we can do is speculate, but you need to do it ASAP. The sooner you do it, the more options you have.

^ I’m going to second that plan of action.

We know it’s frustration to not get answers ASAP. Many of us went thru the process of updating grades and courses and had to just wait for them to finally respond.

No one can really tell you anything but UCLA. All of our situations have been so unique that it really wouldn’t apply to anyone but ourselves.

Yes, you will probably get your admission revoked.

Since everyone else who got a C in any subject did not get revoked. I’m pretty sure you’re ok. But don’t waste time here, let them know.

Terrible title wording. Why did you word the title as if it happened?

@rema32 I can’t tell you whether your admission is going to be revoked, but I can say that impacted majors tend to give people a shorter leash, especially the college of engineering. While there have been people on here that have gotten C’s and managed to hold on to their admission, none of them have been from the college of engineering. UCLA’s CoE can be very picky, but you still have a very good GPA, so that should help you. Good luck and please tell us how this turns
