UCLA Transfer Stats 2011

The UCLA transfer website says they'll have the stats for 2011 transfers by November. They are really running out of time! Anyone else dying to know those stats?

I’ve been checking almost daily for the last two or three weeks.

Gosh, I want them to post it up already!

Looks like they just put them up. Poli Sci went from average accepted GPA 2010 3.75 to 2011 3.79! Arghhh. I still have a 3.83 so I’m still ok-ish.

I’m on the UCLA website but it only has the preliminary numbers still???

nevermind! Just found it!

Man that was awesome… That made me feel even better about my application stats! Thanks for reminding me to check this out!

Yeah, you have to ignore that red text that says preliminary. Did some people’s major GPA go down since last year?

UCSB transfers to UCLA had an amazing 37% acceptance rate. That’s better than nearly every CC, and way higher than the CC average. Made me feel a bit better :)

Jesus! The average GPA for admitted Psych transfers was a 3.81 >_<! I shouldn’t be surprised, but still…

The average GPA of transfer students admitted into the School of Film and Television was… 3.48? Well, that makes me and my 4.0 feel slightly better…

Acceptance rate into my major is looking good.

Acceptance rate from my school…:frowning: Whoa.

Thanks for posting the link to the profile of admitted students.

Link for the lazies!

what is up with the increase in applicants? did these people just happen to appear at a time when budget cuts are rising exponentially?

Looks like I should be giving up on UCLA psych… :/

@mmsiphone 3.78??? Oh my goodness! I applied to UCLA mainly as a lark but WOW. I could have saved 70 bucks! >.> I have a 3.2 btw. I knew it was a long shot but, again, wow! lol

History is still around a 3.78

Idk why people are always like “Oh its history! You’ll get in with like a 3.2!!” Um no, actually. It is impacted. So many peeps are applying for like ~law school~ and what not. Hope I can keep up my 3.9 -_____-

Linguistics admitted percentage went down by 20%

):

UCLA admitted 3 of 25 USC applicants ewww!

Is it bad that I laughed when I read that 5 people applied for Russian Studies and none got in? Or the two that applied for Geophysics? If you applied for these majors and did not get in, I am truly sorry. Hehe.

^ I have fun looking at that stuff too. One person tried getting into African languages with a 2.26

Philosophy’s decent at 3.60. So on paper I’d get in if it weren’t for the stuff I said in my personal statements. xD
