UCLA transfer

one of the prereqs for UCLA is from my cc is chem although it says that if u had taken it in high school, it is no longer a prereq…so my question is

I took chem honors in high school and got a C…so does that translate into a B for my transcript?

Will it not even be calculated into my college GPA?

if you like chem, id suggest you take it again for a B or an A. a C is never good even though it may be weighted to become a B. also if its a prereque that can be waived most likely it might be used as a credit pass/nopass deal

HS grades never go into College transcript.

I have never heard of Chem being a prereqs for UCLA.

Having taken a lot of chem at CC, they only thing i heard that comes close to what u're saying is that there is a chem class that a prereqs for CHem 101, but a placement test can be taken instead of it.

I'm wondering what your major is p1nkie?

Had Chem been a required prereq for UCLA, I'm confident that I would of had no chance at getting in!

Also the only two exceptions where High School grades can have some effect are in the cases of a language, or if you took AP courses.

my major is pysch...and it says that chem can be replaced with high school chem according to assist.org

CHEM 2 Introductory Chemistry (4)|CHEM 10 Introductory Chemistry (5)
OR | OR
CHEM 20A Chemical Structure (4)|CHEM 1A General Chemistry (5)
OR | OR
One year of high school chemistry completed with grades of "C" or better.

i think that means they'll give u course credit. Not grade or anything like that.
