My top schools of choice are UCLA, UC Berkeley, BU, and NYU. I'm applying to UChicago just for the heck of it, but I know it's a bit of a reach for me.

Very much appreciated!

379…weighted… that’s extremely low for Berkeley and LA., I’m afraid. They, at least, will be reaches.

Apply to any other schools (like a safety)?

oh! my UC GPA is a 3.98. i forgot to mention that. (since i took college courses that count for UC credit)

MY PREDICTIONS:

Boston University: Accepted. You match up directly with the average admitted profile from BU and your strong ECs should carry you through to an acceptance letter here.

NYU: Waitlisted. Your stats are on the lower side for NYU, but if you can really emphasize how unique you are, you would have a fair shot.

UCLA, Cal: Rejected. Despite your great extracurriculars and essays, the stats are really going to bring you down for these schools due to the ultra-competitive process of admission.

Best of luck!
Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1585806-chance-me-ivies-nyu-bc-will-chance-back.html

i forgot to add that i got five 5’s and two 4s on my ap exams. does that help in the slightest? LOL

It’s always hard to say what your “chances” are of getting into a college. Sometimes 4.0+ students get rejected from schools like Berkeley, while people with lower GPAs and test scores get accepted. I just started at Cal this fall as a freshman, and compared with me it seems like you would have a good chance at getting in; my SAT score was 1900 (low in math), SAT II in English 750, 4 on AP World test, and somewhere between a 3.8-4.0 GPA (I’ve honestly forgotten exactly what it was). I’ve found that it’s more how the content of your essay expresses what makes you unique and how your extracurriculars and everything contribute to who you are. It’s about your individual story more than your test scores. Sounds like you have a chance though- good luck!
