UCLA, UCB, or UCI??

Im sure Im not the only one conflicted!
I have always wanted to go to UCI only cause Im very familiar with the school. Ive never really visited UCLA or UCB.
I am pre psych major at UCLA , psych major at UCB and psych & social behavior at UCI
but I have to go to grad school anyways to get my license in Occupational Therapy so either school would be okay for me.
UCI gave me 21k, UCLA gave me 20k, UCB gave me 14k
all 3 schools are really great and I dont know what to do!

Since you already know your path, then go to where the money is. You still need to pay for your grad school. However, visit UCLA. It is a beautiful campus. I have not visited UCI, but should be better than UCB.

Best wishes.

What a great problem to have! If I were you I’d go to UCLA. That’s just a personal opinion, but it’s a great school for what you’re doing and they’ve also given you a pretty hefty scholarship. Have you visited all three schools? If not, I would highly recommend you do before making a decision. But just know, wherever you end up going you will get a great education. Good luck!

@dad4life @kiandeco thank you for your inputs!
Ive only visited UCI extensively.
I have never been on UCLA or UCB campus! planning on visiting both very soon!

UCLA or UCI. Whichever you like more.

anyone who transferred to UCLA
and who transferred to UCI
would like to share their thoughts about transitioning into their school and how/what you like about your school? (social life, academics, student involvement)
please and thank you :)

My friends at UCLA enjoy the atmosphere(lots of spirit, places are always open)! My other friends at UCI says that it’s socially dead(most places close at 9, commuter school). I guess these are only specific cases. It varies from person to person.

Btw, UCLA’s has the best architecture IMO.

You’re going to love the UCLA and Cal campuses. Both schools have amazing architecture. I’m 100% sure you will like UCLA and Cal better than Irvine, especially Berkeley. That place just oozes intelligence.

I would choose ucla, I’m guessing you live in Southern California so it would be a lot closer to home than ucb and you have more financial aid for ucla. I would definitely visit though. If maintaining a high gpa is what’s holding you back from ucla and ucb for grad school, I wouldn’t worry about it, if you got accepted then you’ll probably do great. Ask psych students a lot of questions from each school and definitely visit! :)

I would take the time to schedule a weekend to visit Cal and UCLA to check out the campuses. Everyone has their own personal preference, so make your decision after your visit.

UCLA. Better school than UCI so the 1k difference in money shouldn’t factor in. Berkeley is a better school than UCLA but not 7k/year better.

But visit the campuses if you can. If something is really drawing you to UCI even after checking out the other two schools then that’s where you should go.
