I heard that if you apply to both UCLA and UC Berkeley, you get rejected from both. Does anyone know someone who applied to both but got in?

^Complete BS, colleges do admit/reject you on what schools you are applying to. Last year our valedictorian applied to both schools and got into UCLA but not Berkeley.

alex: the schools spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in marketing for great applicants. What on earth would move them to reject out of hand people who happen to apply to a certain school?

Think about it. And tell your friends that their theory is stupid.

I know many, many students that got into both. And plenty that were rejected by both.
Ask your school’s college counseling office about last year’s results for your HS.
