Is it just me, or do others think that the only prestigous aspect of USC is their football team?

The students are fake as plastic, dumb as a rock and really think they're better than us

WHY?

Sure they are a private institution, but just because you're private doesn't necessarliy mean you're better.

I really believe that USC student care about their image more than they do about their grades, I mean you can drop a class the day of the final exam. How ridiculous is that?

Honestly, if you and Berkeley Dude are the same person, I can say you are one of the most pathetic people on this board. First, you have the trolls, who fake their SAT scores just to get compliments. Then, there's people like you, who bash other schools solely for the purpose of instigating a response from us. Why don't you go to SC yourself and say what you just posted?

One can drop a class without a 'W' through the end of the third week of the semester. One can drop a class with a 'W' up until the midpoint of the semester. After that, you're stuck.

These registration withdrawal guidelines closely mirror that of most other universities.

It's kind of pointless to instigate a dispute over USC and UCLA.

Quite honestly, I wanted to go to UCLA for a long time, and USC was at the bottom of my list... but when I visited USC, I realized that there was nowhere I would rather by and haven't thought twice about appplying to UCLA since then. USC ROCKS!

Both schools are great, and your own personality will tell you which is best for you.

and seriously, UCLA and berkeley dude, you kind of sound jealous of us USC people!

I think there is a bit of pompousness on both sides of the coin. UCLA makes fun of USC for being a private school and their kids being "spoiled." USC makes fun of UCLA for being public and (insult here). To be honest, they're just hasty generalizations. Truth is, about 61% of USC students receive financial aid. Stop being so insecure with your decision that you have to put the other school down.

Personally, I applied to both schools. They both happen to be the top in the world for film production. I'd be happy with either choice. I've been a UCLA fan my entire life, but I visited the USC campus 2 weeks ago, and it was beautiful. Nothing like I'd imagined. UCLA is also beautiful. I can see myself attending either and being perfectly happy. They're both tremendous schools that afford an opportunity of a lifetime. So put aside the inane banter between the two and be happy to be at either institution.
