UCLA/USC transfer

currently im a soph at a cc and am pretty set on wanting to go to either ucla or usc film schools but i know my stats aren't high enough for either. i know i'll get into cal states and probably uc-riverside/santa barbara but i don't want to go to those. what options do i have, since im a soph, to get my stats higher for ucla or usc if i don't want to transfer to the other said univerisities? should i just go to one of those universities and try to transfer again?

thanks.

people always write "bump" for the first reply...what is that?

What do you mean "get my stats higher"? You haven't supplied any useful information, so it's hard to offer suggestions.

"bump" gets your post moved up so that people can find it more easily on the board, especially if no one has answered the question and it's moving down.

ill be finishing comm college with around a 3.3 and enough credits to transfer as a junior to a uc but i know i wont get into ucla....so what would should i do to get there?

Well, if that's where you really want to be, the most realistic approach would be to wait another year at your CC and raise your GPA. You could also try to obtain some leadership positions or awards and appeal your decision, but it is highly unlikely for that factor to help you gain admission unless it's something substantial like the Nobel Prize, etc.

I don't know anything about the film program at USC, but I think with a 3.3 you have a bit of a shot.

If you're dead set on getting into UCLA, then consider waiting a year and completing TAP for the duration. I would recommend against this. Look, UCSB is a great school. It's supposed to be the best-looking campus in all of California (this is what I've been told, I've never seen it).

Higher stats? The quickest way to get from point A to point B? A straight line. Get better grades.
