<p>I'd say UC Berkeley! UCLA is probably more well-rounded than Berkeley but how can you turn down the prestige? UC Berkeley is a highly prestigious institution even when you compare it to LA. It even beats some Ivy League schools. Diversity wise, there's a disproportional amount of Asians at both schools. So they're near equal in that aspect. I'd have attended Cal if it wasn't for the fact that it's really far from home, and if I didn't like UCSD (got into bioengineering) as much.
Think twice before turning down America's #1 public university (UC Berkeley)! I certainly did.</p>
<p>Try not to make prestige an issue, though, even though that might be hard.</p>
