UCLA vs Berkeley!

So I recently got into both schools and I was wondering which would be better. I got into Pre-Business Economics for UCLA and I got into the College of Letters and Science for Berkeley. I think I put Business but I heard that you apply for Business your sophomore year.
I think academics are important but I also think social life is really important too since im not a "study all day" kind of person.

What is the different between UCLA and Berkeley? Im visiting in about 2 weeks but I do want to know the difference beforehand. Thanks

yes, somebody please give some insight on this question

i am in the same exact situation as you. The thing is, I live about 30 minutes from Berkeley. I understand that rankings and prestige matter a lot, but I also want a social life. UCLA could offer me more of the better “college experience”

To add to the questions asked above, could someone clarify the competition at Berkeley. I heard that only 50% of Haas applicants get in. A lot of rejects just end up doing econ.

While UCLA only offers Bus Econ, how would it’s program compare to Haas Business Admin. for undergrad? How would it look when i apply to grad school for a M.B.A.?

bump

I’m interested in this too.

you’re college experience is what you make of it. if you want to be social, you can do it anywhere, it doesn’t really matter where you go. not like you’re going to know all 5,000 undergrads in your class anyway.

haas is great if you get in and has some solid connections. if you care at all about rankings, this should prove it to you

if you’re concerned about social life, join a fraternity. it’ll be useful for you in many ways
