UCLA vs. BOSTON COLLEGE. HELP!

Hey guys, I'm a current senior in high school and am admitted to both UCLA & BC! I could not be more grateful. I am having a really, really hard time deciding where I should go. I did not get any financial aid from either school; however I am a California resident. Although I love the SoCal weather, I do not mind experiencing snow or seasons for a change. The largest issues at hand are class sizes, tuition/cost, internship opportunities & success after college. I was admitted into the colleges of letters of arts & sciences for both UCLA & BC, thinking that I wanted to do pre-med. However, after much thought, I also think going into business would be fun. I like the idea of marketing/management in areas of fashion/products or entertainment. I know that is super broad, but I love the general area of study. However, at UCLA there is no undergraduate business school and they only offer biz/econ as a pre-major. At BC, since I am enrolled under the Letters of Arts and Science school, I can only take the majors there. At BC, I was thinking of majoring in Economics & applying to have a minor in the Caroll School of Management as a sophomore. I just need new perspective & some insight on how competitive UCLA/BC is and what would be better for me in the long run. I am not sure if BC is worth almost double the cost of UCLA, but maybe it is! Any advice/info would be GREATLY appreciated.

Congrats on your acceptances!
Before advising you on anything, I’d like to ask what you meant by “they [UCLA] only offer biz/econ as a pre-major”. I think you might be confused on what a pre-major is. Biz-econ is, by all means, a real major at UCLA. You just have to meet some prerequisites in order to be in the major- thus, you’re in the pre-major right now.

That being said, I was admitted to both BC and UCLA but I chose UCLA so I’m probably biased. You can read my spiel and ask on the BC thread too, haha. UCLA was a lot cheaper for me because I didn’t get any FA at Boston. I applied for International Development for UCLA, but I’m hoping to get into Econ, too. From what I heard it’s easy to switch majors or double major. For BC, I applied directly to Carroll because it seemed really hard to internally transfer to their biz school. I’m not 100% sure that I want to go into business, so idk. I think UCLA gives me more choices and won’t leave me with hella loans. GL!
