So I made a thread on the NYU forum but I realized I'd only get responses from NYU people. So hi.

I was accepted to both for math (math/applied science for UCLA but I'm going to change it to regular math) and I plan on going premed. I've visited NYU and loved the city feel and I'm going to visit UCLA next Friday/Saturday. Whether or not there's a campus I don't think is super important. Campus would be nice but if I went to NYU I'd be fine just walking around in the city (:

I heard that UCLA classes are extremely tough and since I want a good GPA for med school, is it near impossible to achieve a 3.9+? Not impossible, per say, and I will work hard (I'm not expecting to breeze through at either of these schools) but there's a limit to what I can do, especially if geniuses are setting curves in the class. So getting and maintaining a high GPA is important for me.

Being able to study is also important, but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do that at either school... if not the dorm I'm pretty sure libraries will be quiet even if UCLA is known as a party school (as my friends say.)

So I'm just looking for some input (: I would enjoy Cali's nice weather but coming from Chicago, I'd probably miss the cold winters and bad weather that NYU could offer, haha. Oh yeah, I'm out of state for both (obviously) and received nothing in aid from either, so they're just about the same except NYU is $4k higher.

Thank you (:
