Accepted at all the UC's i applied to (berkeley pending), but i am prob goin to UCLA or UCSD (perhaps UCSB because of the regent scholarship). UCLA and berkeley are generally viewed as the apex of the UC's. Does name recognition actually help? or is it better to simply go to the school with the better program/resources for your major?

It’s better to go with the school with the better program/resources for your major. UCSD has excellent name recogintion to anyone who counts - employers, grad schools, etc.

Clear separation between UCLA, UCB and UCSD and the mid tier UCs like UCSB. Still, rankings are not all. Look at major and FIT between you and the UNiversity.
