UCSD easier… UCLA better overall… take the challenge !!

phattie
Im really scared that my grade will suck at UCLA, and i don’t have a supergood CC grade…><

Some people do better when they are put up to a challenge…I know many people who had lower CC GPA than UC GPA when they transferred to UCSD, CAL, and UCLA.

If GPA is your sole concern then I would say go to UCLA, and challenge yourself. Get in the mindset of having to work hard to keep your GPA up because Law School is really tough.

^Exactly. How in the hell do are you going to do well in law school if you don’t even want to challenge yourself at UCLA? Upper division courses at either UC won’t be easy, but if you actually have a desire to learn you should know which UC to pick.

If you don’t have good CC grades and want easier school, how are you gonna face law school? Take the challenge imo

Who says UCSD is easier??? I went to UCSD (don’t go there any more because it wasn’t a fit for me and now I’m transferring) and to me it didn’t seem extremely hard, but it definitely depends on your major and what classes you take. A UC is a UC…so saying one is easier than the other is kinda ridiculous. I’m actually at a CC right now working on transferring to UCLA and I have to admit I’m being challenged more at a CC than I was at a UC.

Go where you think you will thrive and be interested in learning and pushing yourself. If that’s UCSD or UCLA then great. College is what you make of it and if you really enjoy it I’m sure you will do well and be able to go to the law school of your choice.

HAHA ucsd is easier? its the 7 th best public school in the country you tools!!! its ranked higher then UCLA in so many areas its silly… IE every single engineering program at ucsd is better…silly California students dont realize that ucsd is a science school recognized on the world stage and ucla is like yayyy a football team and uhhh its a harder…lol you guys are stuck in a time warp or something.

anyway for college students you sure are dumb…

please read a little more and type a little less!

uc!hopefully
where did your get your stats from??
im probably going to go to UCSD so im gonna need some stats for some SD pride haha

usnews had ucsd ranked higher for engineering overall for the 2009 rankings and the 2010 ones that just came out last week. It’s only a matter of like 2 spots though.

Daniel,

Having attended both (UCLA undergrad, UCSD grad) and been a TA at UCSD, I can assure you that UCSD’s standards are not going to give you a big GPA boost-- they are high, and you will be challenged there. I actually know someone who is currently a TA for comm. classes, and he’s a smart, strict, and very interesting guy who will make you work very hard.

uc!hopefully,

O RLY? Want to bet who knows more about the two schools and their respective programs?

lol…perhaps but his smugness required a retort
anyway uclari im sure you know more but i dont see how that is relavent to what i said im sorry about the insults i was just teasing a bit…
by the way what was ur major at ucla?

uc!hopefully,

I was poli sci and Japanese at UCLA.

@uc!hopefully

No offense, but you sound very bitter.

hehe… I do admit that UC!hopefully was SOMEWHAT right…

It’s probably just because Im a bio major (hence, pre med). And I think we all know how competitive and cut throat pre-meds at UCLA are, so yea… really depends on your major…

But overall, admission-wise, UCLA and Cal are THE most selective campuses…
