Trample the trojans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

U know UCLA is gonna get pwned by USC (if ur talking about football here). But then again, we all know Cal is gonna be the PAC-10 champs anyway.

Go Bruins! :)

bruins own trojans in all aspects

LOL, did u watch last years football game? Did u see Reggie Bush run all over ur pathetic defense? And I guarantee its gonna happen again this year.

Yeah, I think Cal has a shot at USC this year, but UCLA has been weak.

Yup, I think Cal can take them this year.

Go Bears!!

ucla kicks everyone's ass

and yes, i am saying that because i'm going there ;)

GO BRUINS!!!

Oh how blind u are.

Reggie Bush can't run over our defense again next year, cause he's playing in the NFL now. Ha! Though, our defense was painfully pathetic last year.

In my three years at UCLA, we've gone 2-1 against Cal though. Take that Tedford. Not that I don't respect Tedford (great coach) or Cal's team (DeSean Jackson went to my high school and is one of my favorite young players in all of college football... Mebane, Marshawn Lynch are great players too... though Ayoob is the definition of a bum), but it's a fun rivalry, not as nasty as against SC, but they're a good opponent. Plus 2 of the last 3 games have been thrillers.

Either way, UCLA will still own the Pac-10 at basketball for the immediate and foreseeable future, and there's nothing really you can do about it.

Basketball is boring. Ayoob wasnt even supposed to be the starter last year. The starter, Nate Longshore, broke his leg in the first game. UCLA's defense are going to be even worse this year, they lost their three best players from last year.

My prediction for this year:

Cal 42
UCLA 10

o, and if anyone hasn't noticed...... the usc mascot dresses as a centurion.........

Longshore vs. Olson should be a good battle for best Mormon QB in the Pac-10. UCLA's defense can't possibly be worse than last year, it can only be just as bad because they were already rock bottom. If you can get lower than rock bottom, well then I really don't know. Anyway we lost three good players on D in Havner, London, and Page, but London was hurt most of the year (most of the last 2 years really) and only had one good game against OU. Havner and Page had weak senior years, Page didn't get picked until the 7th and Havner went undrafted. Chris Horton will be every bit the player Page was but we don't have a good replacement for Havner yet. We do get back our two best DL though in Kevin Brown (missed all last year, terrorized USC two years ago) and Nikola Dragovic (tore ACL before Pac-10 even started, was doing well before that), plus we have a new defensive coordinator, so there's hope. Honestly it's a bit of a reloading season but I expect a competitive team and a decent bowl game.

Anyway, Cal better rep the Pac-10 well at Tennessee or we'll never hear the end of it from the SEC. I'm kinda worried about Cal's offense with some new parts versus that UT D, but Tennessee couldn't do anything on offense last year and Cal has an underrated D.

And you're missing out with basketball. Granted there might not be as much star power, but at least there's a real champion.

Going back to the real topic, even as a registered Trojan hater, I will give their school some respect. They have some up and coming academics (they're pumping a lot of money into this to improve it), a strong alumni network, excellent if sleazy football team, relatively safe campus considering where it is, and some good looking girls. That being said, I like UCLA better in every single facet. And to paraphrase Clayton Bigsby from Chappelle's show, USC breathes all of LA's good air, they pollute our waters, they're lazy good fer nuthin wannabes, suckin up all the money, and did I mention THEY STANK!

It's all good though.

USC pumps a lot of money into everything.

Not that we don't. But eh.

Oh and I'll second the sleazy football thing and raise you a sleazy EVERYTHING. Gah sleaziest, creepiest people at that school.

Good looking but not necessarily always the brightest girls. And boys.

/and uh....where are all the rabid ubiquitous-USC-license-plate-frame-flaunting, FUCLA-tshirt-wearing Trojan supporters? It's eerily quiet in here for a USC v UCLA "discussion". Shouldn't they be telling us how poor and inferior we are for going to a public school? Or reminding us about that silly football thing? or something? The only anti-UCLA speech i'm seeing is from Cal kids, and that doesn't count. I'm confused.

psssh, cal kids. :p

lol Seriously.

There was a big debate over on the UCLA livejournal community a few weeks ago b/c some Cal kid came and asked why we hated Cal, and everyone was like....um we really dont care about Cal, but everyone from Cal thinks we hate them so they hate us. Except we really don't hate Cal (except for maybe one football game per year) so stop hating us!

It's this weird one-sided, sibling rivalry thing that I don't really get. Why would we hate Cal when USC is SOOOO much closer and SOOOOOOOOOOO much easier to hate? Concentrate on hating Stanford, Plz.

I never said anything about us hating UCLA, I dont hate them, I just think they're gonna suck this year. Oh ya.....stanford SUCKS!

Back to McGrizzle's post....yes we better beat Tenn or we wont hear the end of it. Its weird though cuz the SEC's champ, Georgia, lost to the Big Least's champ, WV, so they really cant talk.

i hate cal kids because i wanted to go to cal and i didn't get in.

so i'm going to hold a grudge for the rest of my life.

hmph.
