UCLA vs USC

what are the pros and cons of each? how do they compare? thanks for the help!

i know USC has the better business program and since USC is a private studnet teacher ratio will be alot better. Big thing on UCLA is however, if ur instate cost for tution is almost a 1/3-1/4 of USC's w/o scholarship bonuses

their student/ratio ratio is not better, especially in the lower division classes.

location location location.

UCLA - westwood
USC - in the ghetto

USC - University of Second Choice

hey that's a new one for me :p

I was surprised that USC is not one of cc's top colleges...
should i not be?

yes, you shouldn't be.

yep. you have to dig through the a-z list to find them. i believe that says a lot.

Once Again- USC: 30,000 people stupid enough to wear red in South Central LA.

lol allie thats the best one.

On a side note, if you really want to do business I would consider going to USC (if money is no problem that is). UCLA doesn't have a true undergraduate business program, it only has the major "Business-Economics."

which is very competitive, and i believe you need above a 3.0 or 3.5 in pre-bizecon to even apply for the bizecon major.

yup!

234325

The decision depends on what you are looking for. If you want a plain liberal arts degree, then UCLA is probably the best choice - however if your more interested in a professional program (such as Business, finance or accounting), then USC is clearly a better option.

note to allie: USC has only 16,000 undergrads (not 30k). UCLA obviously is larger with 25,000.

30,000 INCLUDES grad students

bicoastal- i take no credit for that phrase, and i shall accept no criticism.

please see: http://ucla.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2204403728

...lol, that's right...blame the source. :p

totally...

UCLA is a research institution -- an official asset to the great state of California.
USC is a trade school -- loyal to its own alumni.

flopsy, i fail to see how a schools loyal alumni following can be anything other than a great asset? And it certainly is unfortionate that only 16% of UCLA alumni care enough to give anything back to their alma mater. UCLA ranks 97th among universities in alumni giving. ('06 USNWR).

For an otherwise excellent school, it seems bruin pride disappears with a diploma.

.......
