I was offered a spot on the UCLA wait list for this Fall and I opted in. However, I will be travelling in May so I was wondering when UCLA sent out acceptances/rejections to wait-listed students in the previous years so that I can keep a heads up around those dates. It just says "during May, before June 1st" in my portal. I know it may not be the same this year but I don't want to miss it.

For several private colleges/universities with which I’m familiar wait list decisions are made in small batches, and sometimes one by one, throughout the late spring. Contact with the admitted student is made by email, possibly phone. The colleges will make multiple efforts to contact those who are offered a place. Generally for these colleges it is wise to have a surrogate (e.g. parent) monitoring the accounts you provided the college to contact you. Also it is likely that the web site with which the college communicates with perspective students will show the “you’re admitted!” welcome when you log in to your page.

This said, UCLA may do it differently. Contact admissions and ask.

Just wondering, were you applying as a transfer student or out of HS? I got accepted to UCI, I am waiting to hear from UCLA. I am a transfer student.

I just graduated from high school.
