@imvegetarian2016 It saddens me that someone who has below a C- in Calculus has the opportunity to go to UCSD, UC Berkeley, and possibly UCLA.

Not yet -_- need to find out. Got into SD of their waitlist and I need to respond with an intent to go or not by Thursday. Very anxious to hear back from LA already

I’m saddened that you can not understand a joke. I did not get below a C in math. I was just trying to make a joke and alleviate the tension on the thread. I’m sorry if I offended you in any way.
And even if I (or anyonefor that matter) how could you judge me for that? for example, maybe someone had bad grades one semester because they had more important things to worry about, such as an ill family member? Many factors are taken into consideration other than grades because every applicant is an actual living breathing person, not just a number.

@i2400ezpz if a bad grade saddens you then you really don’t understand the college admission process, especially for schools like UCLA who do a holistic review.
A grade doesn’t define a person. I applied with 5 C’s and a D! I applied because I knew my strengths were elsewhere outside of grades and I was able to convey those strengths in the other areas of my application. So much so that I got in no waitlist.
I feel it’s important to write this not to gloat but to give hope to other students in future classes, especially after your judgmental comments that may negatively influence people’s decision to apply.

International Transfer Student here! Out of State college though. I got waitlisted in UCLA.
Rejected by UCB and admitted to UCSD. Sorry to say but this is the only waitlist thread for this fall’s admission .
