<p>I submitted my second semester senior year grades, along with a short essay about things I wanted to join at ucla, and some important awards and honors. It’s honestly a wild card though. Both my dorm roommates were waitlisted and one didn’t send anything at all. Overall, don’t make the supplement too lengthy. Only write significant factors like large awards and a shorter essay. <p>Hi Engineer64, My daughter also got wait listed by UCLA. Did she submit the revised essay in a separate mail or add it to the supplemental information area when she confirm the wait list offer in UCLA’s website. Thanks.</p>
<p>Does anyone know any statistics for how many kids they admitted off the waitlist from last year?</p>
<p>Waitlist - 4,600 waitlist offers went out; 2,900 students opted in; 482 were admitted; 288 SIR’ed.</p>

<p>That’s actually better than I was expecting. Does anyone think they’ll release this year’s waitlist stats (how many people opted in) after April 15?</p>

I had to submit my SIR to UCI this week but I really don’t want to go there.</p>
<p>Two people were waitlisted at my school last year and both got in >_<</p>
<p>Really?! Were they really smart? What were their majors? Were they California residents?</p>
<p>One of theirs was mechanical engineering and im not sure about the other. They were both ca residents</p>
<p>My son is also on waitlist, but we are not holding our breathe.
Based on the admission data provided so far, I estimate that nearly 16400 have been accepted and 6100 put on the waitlist for 5700 spots for 2013 incoming freshmen.
In comparison, last year 15982 were accepted and 4600 put on the waitlist for 5621 spots.
The odds don’t look good.</p>
