I'm pretty positive I'm going to go to UCLA, and I'm super excited!
At first I was bummed because I got rejected from most of my private schools, but now that I think about it, UCLA is a fantastic school (and plus it's a lot cheaper).
Who's going to the Engineering Open House thing this Sunday??? I can't wait to explore the campus there and meet new people! I don't know much about LA, but I'm sure it's going to be so much fun there ^^

i'm willing to forego Cal Engineering Undeclared to go to UCLA! from that, U know I'm excited. Hey breadpitt, can you relay ur experience to me, since I won't be going to that Open House... Or anyone who will go for that matter.

oh and for anyone wanting to peek at sum pics for UCLA, these should satisfy anyone.

Sure! I'll tell you about my experiences when I get back :) I can't wait ! Thanks for those pictures--the campus is so beautiful.

u live close to ucla? lol i wish i could go on that excursion

im going

GO BRUINS

I'm feeling the same way, breatpitt. I got into Berkeley and Cornell too, though, so I have to weigh all my options. But I'm thinking UCLA 2009 :)

Westow I live in San Diego, so it's not too far from LA. Only a 2 hour drive :)

nobleguy05 come to UCLA! Although Berkeley and Cornell are great schools too.. hehe. Wherever you go good luck ! Hope to see you guys all there ~

Hey, feel good about getting to choose between Cornell and any UC. I was waitlisted at my first choice. UCLA isn't even cheaper(although it is in-state).

I'll be heading down to the campus once or twice during the next week to check it out as well (45 mins away).

Yahoo!!! Go LA!! I' ll be there for the Engg Open House. I'll see u guys there. Anybody for Chem Engg?
Hey, has anybody got the Fin-aid stuff from UCLA, I have got any info on that.
Yup, I am very excited about LA, next 4 years are going to be fun.
Littleol'me are you going to choose UCLA over Berkley and Cornell, think about this carefully.
Good Luck to everybody

I didn't apply to Cal because of it's political rep, and the ivies were far out of my parents' price range(rotc wasn't an option at the ones I wanted). I was waitlisted at UVa, UCLA is my second choice. Sorry for the confusion.

I got in and im going, but not too happy about it -.-

Freebird, that's me that's trying to choose between UCLA, Cal and Cornell. What was your take on that?

Maybe I'll just make a post about it or something.

I'm pretty set on being a Bruin, guys!! :) Who's going to welcome day on April 8th?

I'm going to be a Bruin, too! It's official...I submitted my SIR on Thursday. I'll be going to the Academic Advancement Program thing on April 9th...anyone else?

As long as I get in I'm pretty set on UCLA. Since UCLA is going to (or so I assume) be the last school I hear from, I'm guess I'll send the SIR in pretty fast. If I'm still pending anywhere, i think I will wait for those schools... I just want to have everything in before I commit.

Hey nobleguy...I was in the same spot...only add caltech to that mix. I actually kinda wanted to go to cornell or caltech, but since I definitely want to go to grad school, I didn't htink it was smart to land myself heavily in debt just for undergrad (I didn't get any financial aid btw and my parents can't afford 40000 a year).
I like Berkeley...but honestly...it was too close to home, and UCLA gave me a really nice scholarship. I definitely think I made the right choice, though parts of me still regret giving up caltech.

this is a cool site :-)
