Okay... No need to get too excited, but we may still be going to the BCS Championship. :D We'll find out tomorrow. (IF not, we'll probably still go to the Rose Bowl against the Trojans. :))

SOB...Florida shoulda lost!

Shouldn't matter. Florida has just not been impressive enough this year. Only a 20+ win over Arkansas could have gotten them the points nevessary to get past Michigan. I just don't think enough voters will be impressed by the win to get them to significantly alter their opinions. The computers should favor Michigan because Michigan's SOS is significantly lower than Michigan's. With Central's win and all the other events of the last week, Michigan's SOS is now in the top 10 in the nation.

"The computers should favor Michigan because Michigan's SOS is significantly lower than Michigan's"

Care to run that argument by me again? =P

Nooo!!! The USA Today polls rank Florida higher than Michigan!

And the Ap Poll too!!!!

dang! that's a slim margin for florida

eye roll, sadly, more of the country will be watching if florida and ohio play than if two big 10 schools play, so I wouldn't be surprised if michigan still ended up in the rose bowl. Sad but could be true.

For anybody crying that Florida should go because "Michigan had their shot".

"Florida defeated Florida State in the Sugar Bowl, which was the designated National Championship that year. Florida had faced Florida State earlier in the year, when they were ranked #1 and #2, and lost."

Nice work on finding the article man.

It would have been interesting to see if Florida would have moved ahead of Michiagn if USC had won. I say no. The voting turned out in Florida's favor purely because no one wanted to see a rematch, not because people believe Florida is the better team.

Another interesting subplot is the chance that the Big Ten could finish the season with a 1,2,3 showing in the BCS poll. If Ohio State beats Florida (almost certain), Michigan takes care of business against USC, Wisconsin wins in their second-rate bowl, and Notre Dame beats LSU, then the Big 10 will own all 3 of the top spots. This in a year where the SEC was widely considered the best conference.

Damn... -_-

i was wondering why my date to formal wasn't saying anything last night. then i realized that there was a tv screen behind me and he was watching the game the whole time...
