then why did they even ask us to select one? hmmmm anybody has any opinions?

<p>^ Are you sure? A friend of mine applied last year under poli sci with geography as her alternate major. She got in under geography and goes there now. So I think it is considered. And she wasn’t a TAP student.</p>
<p>what minilily said is true. I don’t know how exactly it works but if you look at the last UCLA acceptance thread there were a couple of people who said they got into their alternative major without TAP.</p>
