Can i be considered a sophomore if i have 46 units from AP courses coming out of high school at UCLA?
IMO - not likely. Most schools put caps on the number of credits you can receive. It is not clear from the UCLA AP Credit section if they have a cap. This will be a great question for an admission counselor or @10s4life
@tytheoneeeeer If you have 46 units you are considered a sophomore for your class standing. That means you can enroll in classes that are reserved for let’s say “sophomores and above”. However it does not contribute to your standing for course registration which means you are considered a freshman like everyone else when it comes time for course enrollment appointments. For the most part UCLA does not award much “useful” credit for AP courses. They do not fulfill GE requirements and are purely used to fulfill major requirements (if applicable) or for course placement.
