<p>Hi everyone my dream is to be a trader but I am afraid that going to UCLA might hinder my chances. Can going to UCLA still open doors to different banks? </p>
<p>Also what would be a good degree to obtain? as of now I am working towards a degree in Mathematics/applied science with a focus on operations research.</p>

<p>what you should for sure do is check with your career services and alumni network. i dont know what is and what is not a target school, but you should def start trading now and get a feel for the markets, generally people in school trade on asian markets cuz they are movin when youre done with classes etc. make some good scores there and also do a billion resume drops and phone calls and emails, if you do 100 youll get maybe 5 call backs and if you have a great resume something could happen. start trading right now and then talk with your schools career services and alumni asap. dont waste time.</p>
