Ucla

apparently results are out! did anyone who applied for art, DMA, etc. get in?

I got rejected from their art department and it's not a nice feeling =(
Feel free to post stats or portfolios or whatever!

I got rejected too.
):

i'm so sad. i want to call them and ask why i got rejected!!

):
did you apply anywhere else?

yeah..i got into irvine, sd, USC, and cal poly. and have like 9 other schools i'm waiting to hear back from. what does your portfolio look like?

oh danngg you're AMAZING
im' still waiting to hear from UCI&USC
my portfolio is probably not as amazing as yours.
ahaha
aw but you still have 9 more schools to hear from!
EFF LA
USC FTW? haha (:

You have to send in a portfolio for UCLA? I never knew that!

only if you apply for certain departments, for example, i applied to their art department and was required to send in a portfolio.

so much extra work for absolutely NOTHING.

do you know how many people they did accept?

For what it is worth, UCLA supposedly has a very strong art program. You need to be a very good artist to get admitted there in addition to having strong academic credentials.

I applied to the UCLA DMA program, and received an invitation to the open-house. Does that mean I got accepted?

probably, but don't start blathering about it til you get an official decision...but didn't LA's decisions come out last Wed...? unless you're a transfer, anyway.

I've called and they told me that D|MA accepted 49 out of 350 "portfolios".
henryvisionp: why can't you login and see if you were accepted?

I am a transfer student so it does not let me see the results until the end of april.
