Ah, waiting until April 1 to find out if I got in or not will kill me!

Does UCLA send those out that late? Also what major are you applying for because as long as it's not engineering they do a good comprehensive review...

so can anyone summarize the article?

The final paragraph reads:
"What it will do, they say, is ensure that each application's academic review is based on a wide range of criteria, including classroom performance, motivation to seek challenges and the rigor of a student's curriculum within the context of high school opportunities. Academic achievement still will be given the greatest weight. But added emphasis will be placed on the school context and the resources available to the student."

This is taken from UC Notes, November, 2006.

three full months till letters come.
AHH.

didn't read the link to know if this year will be different. last year UCLA posted admission decisions on March 10 in the afternoon...

they changed it to April 1st because of the new holistic admissions process

I'm wondering if this whole process has changed since the acting Chancellor has been replaced by Gene Block. I know Norman Abrams was into a diversified campus, and I don't know what Gene Block's views are on the subject or even if his views could have any impact one way or the other.
