UCLA's Political Science Major

How many math courses does the undergraduate (Upper & Lower Division) major require? Would one Statistics course be adequate? Thank you.

It only requires one lower division Stats course.

Wow, really?

I’m going to be transferring from a CCC in the Fall of 2012 and UCLA is my dream school. Mathematics has never been my strong point but I have a highly competitive transfer GPA and law school aspirations.

Does UCLA have any easy Stats 10 teachers?

I’m going to be taking a 5 unit Statistics course in the Summer at my CC, but on ASSIST.org, it says that I must take a Stats course at UCLA.

Glad to know that’s the ONLY math I’ll be dealing with if I were to get into such an amazing school.

As far as I know, if your community college has a stats course that transfers over as Stats 10 you won’t have to take it at UCLA. My community college (Los Angeles Pierce) had a Stats course that counted so I didn’t have to take it at UCLA. I personally haven’t heard anything about how easy or hard it is here.

I took stats here at UCLA for my poli sci major and I hated it!! Class was 5 days a week at 9 AM (3 lectures, 1 lab, 1 discussion) with constant homework. I don’t like math that’s why I’m in north campus!!

My teacher was Davis for stats 10 btw
