UCLA's political science or Berkeley's political science?

Which of the two schools is better for political science? Can anybody who is majoring in political science at these schools give some feedback or anyone with some knowledge about these particular school's programs? My situation is I was accepted to UCLA's political science department which is an impacted major, yet I was also accepted to Cal as well under Peace and Conflict studies, yet I want to switch to political Science...Anybody who can give some perspectives and opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Berkeley, hands down.

With the Political Science major at UCLA, it is broken down into concentrations.

If you trust rankings, UCLA has a great Comparative Politics concentration.

The most popular concentration amongst Political Science students at UCLA is international politics.

The other concentrations are worthwhile, with their statistics/data analysis concentration being the newest. (The other two concentrations are American Politics and Political Theory).

I’d say you can’t go wrong either way. Berkeley tends to be a more liberal school than UCLA, which is left leaning but not to the extent that Berkeley is known to be.

Both are great schools and good luck!

(BTW if you are a Poli Sci major and thinking about going to law school…which is often the majority of people in Poli Sci, just make sure you get a great GPA…meaning at least above 3.5 overall, top LSAT scores and some good recommendations).
