UConn Admissions Decisions

@hannahlei I found it on the website for the nursing school itself. I would look at the specific school/college within UConn that has your major and see if they have a fact sheet

@kayyx3dee thank you! I’ll check.

So are you for sure accepted if you have the option to pay the $150 deposit and you have the campus e-mail on your page? Mine changed to the completed application message yesterday morning and I just got the option for the deposit and noticed the e-mail this morning.

^^^ You are in!

twinmom2014 any news on your other D ? I called they said they were rolling them out in no order i just have a funny feeling

My status changed and it allows me to pay a deposit. For those who were accepted, did your status change to say that you were accepted?

Has anyone called to ask if having the pay admissions deposit option and campus email means you’re accepted?

@miesha5… no change, no update. Oh well, she got into every other school she applied to. She has a lot of great options.

have any nursing applicants heard at all or had any changes to their online account?

@mss418 I’m a nursing applicant! No changes for me

Status just changed today to be able to pay deposit! Nursing student.

Hey guys. I have not officially gotten my acceptance letter but my status just recently changed like many others here on the forum to blah blah blah March 1st and I can now pay a deposit. A bunch of my peers started getting in so I’m expecting a letter soon. I also got this which is really cool

"ID
My Name
2012xxx
UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT

Undergraduate Merit Scholarship Awards Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions are for recipients of a merit scholarship award offered by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. By accepting a merit scholarship award, the recipient agrees to the terms and conditions set by the University. Scholarship awarding is subject to change."

:D

I think it kind of spells out that I got a scholarship but I just want to make sure and good luck to everyone else.

I will definitely post an update when I get the official letter!

@DixieNormus where did you find the “ID, Name…” section?

It was all under Self Service->Student Center->Financial Aid->New Admit Scholarship Acceptance

I just copy and pasted the first little bit that was stated under “Scholarship Acceptance” but the formatting on here looks different because of how the college confidential site differs from the student admin one.

Haven’t heard anything neither online/mail…I’m going with not accepted. It’s to bad because it’s D first choice and has been since she was a freshman. Congrats to all and good luck!

They got over 30K apps this year. It’s possible they just haven’t gotten to a bunch yet

As I have been saying both my daughters applied… the one who has been accepted applied one month after her sister who has not heard. The one who was accepted had higher stats plain and simple.

Twin Mom,

It is still early and there have not been mass announcments as of yet. It appears that specialty majors ( Arts, Eng, Nursing) have been coming out along with top tier applicants. Are both of your daughters applications to the same program/major? I haven’t seen many ACES announced. March 1st is their target date. Hang tight. Fred

Twinmom2014, are you sure at least one of your daughters is accepted? How can you tell? I think my D’s status is the same as what you reported, she has the option to pay a deposit, and there is a UConn email for her shown, but I’m still a little nervous and need to see something that actually says she has been accepted. In the past there was the option to Click Here to See Your Admission Decision, but I don’t think anyone has reported that this year. I’m also nervous that she may be accepted to the branch and not the Storrs campus, that happened to my other daughter 2 yrs ago. We only put Storrs campus as her first choice and no other 2nd choice, but they still accepted her at the Hartford Branch. For this time, my D. put Storrs as her first choice and no 2nd choice, but who knows if they accept her they may decide not for Storrs campus. The branch is not an option for her, she doesn’t have a way to commute to a branch and needs to be at Storrs.

I agree nothing is set in stone yet and I’m not giving up hope for my D till i see it with my own eyes she my not be in the top tier and she’s not in nursing or eng she’s in ACES and I’m gonna keep the faith
