My application status changed and i’m a chem major plus UConn was more of a match for me than a safety… if they are truly rolling out acceptances for top tier candidates and specialty majors, why would my status change?

Congratulations to all that have been accepted! Anyone get accepted with a Computer Science major?

^ no but have you been accepted in computer science ?

@meisha5… maybe you are right. Daughter #2 with no change in statues is ACES also. Daughter #1 is Engineering for Manufacturing.

To those who have received their official acceptance by mail, did you get a Big Envelope, or a Small Envelope?

Something slightly bigger than a #10 envelope, but not a full 9 x 12 envelope.

I still don’t understand UCONN’s decision to go the route they did in having all applicants wait this long. Major athletic programs in decline, they days of the BIG EAST and UCONN v Georgetown are gone. UCONN is surely not Chapel Hill, BC, or Maryland for that matter. The campus is in the sticks to boot. I get they had a record number of applicants, but curious to see what top tier students wait around.

I have above average stats imo for uconn. (in state) 31ACT, 3.6GPA, and a fair amount of EC’s, but I have yet to receive anything. I don’t know if anyone else is in the same boat. Applied for Environmental Engineering, App recieved Nov. 21

@Colin2014 That is really odd. My daughter was notified for engineering and your ACT was higher although her unweighted gpa is higher and her EC’s are imho over the top. With you act score …I am very surprised you has not heard anything. We are OOS if that helps and she applied in December.

I think the whole thing was done wrong roll out everything on the 1st or roll out everything early its so wishy washy its like they didn’t even stay to some kind of rhythm like only top tier or only nursing or only honors or only in state its just so random and they really don’t confirm or not the whole deposit thing its just strange i guess we just wait

On the admissions website, there’s an option to “chat” with them from 5-9pm, but I’m too scared to try it! :-S

@kayyx3dee I am chatting with them right now.

Let us know what they say @nikeknocked!

@kayyx3dee we should just wait until we get a decision in the mail.

1460/2220 and a 4.0 … haven’t received a result yet.

University of Connecticut Representative
Hi, my name is Rachel and I am a student at the University of Connecticut. I’d be happy to help you with any questions that you may have!

xxx
Hi Rachel :)

xxx
Do you know if any students have been accepted into the School of Engineering yet?

University of Connecticut Representative
Some decisions have been released but not all of them have.

xxx
Okay, should they all be released by March?

University of Connecticut Representative
All decisions will be released by March 1st so the wait is almost over!

^ AMEN

8 more days!! at least they told us an exact date!

I received a call informing me that my application is complete and I would be hearing very shortly. The lady asked if I had any questions but I was too shocked to even think and politely thanked her. What does this mean? Has anybody else received calls. I applied to the business school at Storrs.

@Uni2018 had you called prior to ask any questions or was that completely out of the blue?

Completely out of the blue @JBake0602.
