well I’m not feeling very optimistic at this point if they were truly rolling out admissions then there wouldn’t have been a dead stop like this we would have continued to see some action good or bad and there has been nothing its just strange

@reenski Ditto to everything you said, right down to class size. Still nothing in today’s mail. I’m hoping there’s something to the theory that the business school acceptances are last. There’s no rhyme or reason to this. So frustrating!

I have got to say that I think UCONN does look at their applicants holistically. Daughter #1 was accepted to Engineering with slightly lower test scores than others who have not heard or who were waitlisted or rejected for the same major. We are even out of state. Her EC’s are outstanding and that it why I think that is why she is getting into some schools when I thought she would not. Interesting to see if Conn College takes her where she applied test optional. Anyway made an appointment for a tour on March 27 looking forward to seeing Storrs.

Hi! I just received my acceptance letter. I have been offered admission to the School of Business as a Marketing Major (first choice). No Honors Program, but I have been awarded the Leadership Scholarship. I’m Hispanic (as in, my native language is Spanish. I’m from Puerto Rico.) 4.0 UW GPA / 1990 SAT. Multiple Honors and AP courses. School Newspaper, Volunteer Work. Essay was about how difficult it was for me to switch schools for the 10th grade. Good luck to you all!

Accepted but no mention of aid with a 2140 SAT and a 4.12 weighted GPA. My application was sent well past December first, is that why? I feel like that’s very odd I would get nothing with high scores… Any chance scholarship info will come later/ separately? I got no aid in my Del acceptance but got a separate aid letter about a week later so maybe it’s a similar deal at UConn.

My son was accepted earlier this week, Allied Health Sciences Major (Notified via Web-site earlier this week, letter arrived in mail later this week) In-state 4.0, SAT, 1800 SAT / 26 ACT, Captain Various Sports, Eagle Scout, Part-time job, various other awards, etc. First choice, no merit aid. Accepted into 2 other CT colleges, with solid Merit packages, still waiting on a few others. GPA seems to be the biggest factor all and all.

I applied as a Political Science major with a 1420/2200, a 4.47, and some great ECs…and my brother goes to UConn! I figured it would be a safety school for me but does the fact that I haven’t heard anything yet mean I am most likely being rejected/wait-listed?

I really don’t think that everyone who hasn’t heard yet is going to be rejected/waitlisted.

Has anyone other than the one person on here been accepted to the ACES program undecided. I read that that is is one third of the class so I am assuming they will roll those out on saturday? I really do not think they are finished notifying people of acceptances and the rest are being rejected…that would just be cruel!!

One of my daughters who has not heard anything , applied for ACES.

My D was accepted ACES last week online. Letter came on Tuesday. 1180/1820, 3.5 Great EC’s All honors and AP’s OOS but no Merit

S was accepted ACES-undecided last week, Letter came Wednesday. 1250/1830 4.0 Great EC’s, multiple AP’s OOS but no merit.

I just spoke with admissions and was told the decision/notification process officially starts today and will continue for the next several weeks. So there’s a chance we won’t find out for a few weeks.

WHAT !!! THAT CANNOT BE RIGHT WE WERE TOLD 3/1 THIS IS GETTING INSANE THE WHOLE PROCESS IS INSANE SO NOW WHAT THEY WILL DO IS WAIT FOR DEPOSIT AND KEEP THESE POOR KIDS ON HOLD FOREVER …also as if it didn’t already start please 100s of kids have already been notified

I say good luck to them and good to you all!!! It has to be a very busy time at all college admissions offices and we will all be hearing in the near future. I was told that the whole college process was a difficult one but I have to say that it must also be very difficult for the colleges who have to go through 38,000 applications with a fine tooth comb!
Fingers crossed for you all:))

As frustrating as it is, I’m relieved to hear they’re taking their time to review each application. My D probably wouldn’t have a chance if they didn’t.

well I hope you guys are right and indeed thats what they are doing because it would be a shame if they didn’t give every single kid a fair chance sorry for the rant its been a very long process for my D i only have one she is and amazing kid like all of you I’m sure she has had a tough time with this whole thing and I feel terrible for her I want her to be able to relax a bit and enjoy her last few months with her friends buts she’s a wreck sorry guys

If you look on the site it actually says “beginning March 1st”, I think those who have heard already are ahead of plan.

@meisha5 I couldn’t agree more! It’s been so incredibly stressful on all of the kids! I don’t remember it being like this when I went through the process. It’s really sad to watch them go through it.

My son was admitted two weeks ago via online and letter came in Monday. UCONN does use a holistic approach in accepting students. My son’s SAT were not strong 1690 CR 550 M 610 and he told me spent no time writing something no one was going to read.
