@wewsy yes, I was also invited to the Honors Program

Congrats @danid96 ! I figured with those stats you would be With all that have not been accepted or who are still waiting my S is just glad to be in as it is one of his top choices. I am curious though to know what are the lowest stats that would warrant merit. My S had a 4.0 with as challenging a course load as he could have taken with lots of APs. He is currently 9/200. His SAT is his weakness at 1250 M/V. His friend is behind him in the class with less APs and slightly lower GPA but he got like $12000 OOS. With all I read here with mistakes etc does anyone think there could be a mistake in merit awards? I realize it is probably just his SAT score, but… trying to get a sense if anyone with similar stats got merit.

My D has the same SAT of 1250 M/V, 1910 with writing. Excellent merit given from UMass, UDEL,
UVM, honors college URI. None offered from UCONN. Waiting to hear on Northeastern.

@momtosimba thanks for the input. D got merit at Northeastern 3 years ago with 1950 SAT, but doubt that would get anything now~ of course you never know. Great school though!

She hasn’t been admitted to Northeastern. Deferred EA.

S was deferred as an OOS applicant with a 35 ACT. Go figure.

My dad just talked to an admissions officer and he said that Storrs is full. If you’re not planning on attending, be an angel and withdraw your application for all of us on the wait list

I was accepted to UCONN as a nursing major a couple weeks ago. OOS.

UW: 3.3 GPA, honors/AP track
SAT: 2040 single sitting ( 730, 620, 690)
Extracurriculars: 32 hour a week job, SADD, Newspaper, community service

I love UCONN, but the money’s not there; I was also accepted to UMASS Amherst, and it would be under 20 K a year for me. It’s sad, but I think I’m going to have to withdraw my application.

@kayyx3dee Did the admissions officer say the entire freshman admissions is full at Storrs or just your major?

@wewsy. so your son was accepted to Storrs, correct? Congrats! Curious what his major is.

Yes, he is in at Storrs~ undecided. Waiting on BC before he makes his final decision.

oops, exploratory*

@middleof3 pretty sure the entire freshmen class is full

I just found out that I was accepted!! This was a major reach school for me.

SAT: 1610
No AP classes (1 honors class)
3.88 GPA
Major: Pre- teaching (storrs campus)

I honestly didn’t think that I would get in. I think it was my essay that won them over.

I currently have one son in his 2nd year at UCONN. My other son just got accepted but will not attend. He just got a scholarship from another nice University that will now only cost us $9,000 a year. UCONN did not give him anything. Application has been pulled. Good luck to all you kids. As a parent we are very happy with UCONN. My older son loves it. Our other son actually did not care for it too much and was hoping to get what he got.

Is there anyone else still waiting to hear? My D’s status hasn’t changed in months. I feel like she is the only one who hasn’t heard.

Last few kids I knew of just heard yesterday. Hopefully everyone will have their response today!

My son was admitted in the beginning of Feb to Storrs. He is very excited since UCONN was the only school he wanted to apply. We are still waiting on George Washington University. All deposits have been made to UCONN but husband and I are shooting for GWU.

I just got to know I got accepted
