Uconn Business School

My name is Mike, im from Maine, and I am a senior in high school. Out of the hundreds of colleges I have looked at Uconn is by far my number one choice: four hours from home, right size, reputable program, nice facilities, etc.

SAT scores may 2010: 1560
480 in reading
530 in writing
560 in math

My Concerns: I have heard that Uconn only accepts around 30% of out of state students despite accepting around 50% of in state students. In addition I have heard that the bussiness school only accepts around 30% of freshman business school applicants? I have taken the SAT's again (October 9) and I will taken them a 3rd time on November 6th (should get around a 1670 (500 reading, 560 writing and 660 math)). Uconn is my #1 school. I want to be a healthcare administrator and have been job shadowing for about 3 months about 4 hours per week. The business administration program and a concentration in healthcare managment would be perfect, can I get in? Thank you!

Good choice UCONN, my parents went there & one of my kids, too…

With the way the economy is, they may be letting in a lot more OOS students so they can collect that OOS tuition!

Princeton Review shows the following spread of SAT Scores for mid 50:

CR 550-640
MATH 570-670
WRITING 550-650

If you think your scores are going to improve, maybe you have a shot at getting in!
Aren’t they rolling admissions? Have you applied yet?? Don’t wait too long to apply.

My Dad is a grad of the School of the Business 1950! He was in Engineering & found it way too difficult, so he switched! We recently found his report cards from Engineering, all F’s… LOL… no wonder he changed!

Haha that’s funny. But thank you for the response. I am actually sending out my application this weekend, I’m using the common ap. Then, on Monday I will send all of my other documentation at school through the guidance office.
