Hi everyone! I hope your college processes are all going smoothly. I was just wondering if someone could give me their opinion on my chances for University of Connecticut at Storrs. I’m a multiracial (White, Hispanic, Asian) female from a top public high school in New Jersey. My GPA is a 3.85 W and around a 3.7 UW, with a very strong upward trend. SAT score is a 1410 (740 on R/W, 670 on Math). My extracurriculars include: Part time job 16 hours per week, Varsity tennis team, volunteering teaching tennis to 3-5 year olds 4 hours per week, Spanish club, film club, and tennis training. My essay/recs were very strong, writing is my strong suit and I have very close relationships with the teachers who wrote my recommendations. I have taken mostly honors and AP classes, and am in Honors Calculus and AP Statistics this year. I’ve visited campus and also gone to the visit that the regional representative gave at my high school. I applied into Business undecided as my first choice and Undecided (Arts & Sciences) as my second choice. I understand that UConn’s business school is one of their hardest programs, but I was wondering if you guys could give me input regarding whether or not you think I have a shot. Also, if not business, please let me know your thoughts about my chances into Arts&Sciences/merit scholarships. Thanks everyone!
