UCONN class of 2022

SAT, gpa and course rigor probably primary points of evaluation followed by essay

Did anybody get in yet??? 2022

Nope. I was under the impression the decisions would be out around March 1st.

Nobody anywhere has gotten into the main Storrs campus yet. Website says March 1. If history proves true we will all hear the last Friday evening in February. My daughter plans on checking each Friday evening from now on because in past years some majors have heard earlier.

Does anyone know how generous UConn is with merit scholarships? Also how hard is it to get into honors?

Hard to predict how the state budget problems may impact this years but from previous years I see they give much more $ to out of state students (12-18,000) and for lower stats than in state. Honors they seem to go by test scores quite a bit. They put there current cutoff for SAT at 1440+ and typically in the top 5% of their class. There seem to be students in and out of state who get some kind of merit who don’t get invited to honors. In state merit seems to run in the 5,000 to 7,500 range- unless a stem scholarship- fewer but can be bigger amounts.

Well, nothing tonight. Le sigh. She will check again next week. Ah well.

@JerseyMom2022 According to the class of 2021 string, decisions last year started showing up in the portal in the evening of Friday, Feb 24; the year before that, it was Saturday, Feb 24. Only one person mentioned portal changes including paying housing fee, and that person didn’t post result so can’t correlate…

*I meant Sat, Feb 27 the year before. Has anyone seen any portal changes?

I haven’t seen any

DS has no decision yet, but has links to pay the room reservation fee and the fee bill.

@skimomof3 Ditto. I hope those are good signs.

Dad of UConn 2020 here. Acceptances are late Feb/Early March. I was in your shoes in 2016, don’t attempt to read into anything you see on the portal, phone directory etc. Nerve-wracking time. Good luck!

My daughter’s portal changed again this afternoon. It now says: "This application is complete. As we work toward finalizing our admissions decisions, self-service is currently unavailable. Please continue to check this page in the upcoming days for the latest information on the status of your application.

If you have already received your admission decision and are looking to pay your enrollment deposit, go back to the previous page (your Student Center) and click the Pay Enrollment Deposit link."

Anyone else’s say that too?

@JerseyMom2022 My son’s is in the same status as it was on 10/4 when he submitted his application.

My son’s is the same since the last time it changed (in early Feb) to include links for paying the bill and the housing deposit.

Yes @JerseyShoreMom2022 mine changed to that today as well!

@mkm1964 what is your major? I am trying to figure out if it’s because my daughter is an art major and submitted a portfolio.
Oh, and I just noticed you tagged someone else with a similar screen name to mine.

@JerseyMom2022 I thought I responded to you - hello also to @JerseyShoreMom! My daughter applied to the DMD program.

Best of luck to your daughter. Fingers crossed for ALL our kiddos!
