@BioStud2023 you have a very high chance of getting admitted into CLAS!! Good luck!!
So is it too late for them to come out tonight?
they came out at 8:20 last year
@HSinLI , you’re welcome. With respect to diversity, I was referring to not only racial diversity but also economic, religious, etc… It seems to me that UConn has more expansive diversity in every sense. I know what @HankCT is talking about with respect to wealth… My sister lives just a few miles away and we’ve visited often. That said, it doesn’t mean a student couldn’t have a wonderful experience at Fairfield. It’s just a different type of school than a large public university. Good luck! I guess we’ll all find out soon!
Hello, I have a son in UConn and a son in Fairfield. I honestly can say there is no way to judge where someone will be happy. So many things come into play, roommates, professors, food, friends, laundry issues, how well they are in doing in the classes. Some things that you never even would have thought of. My first son that could do anything and I never worried about him was so homesick it was so awful and the one that I thought was gonna be homesick is not. I truly feel that you can only go with your gut. I love both schools for different reasons and what my boys were looking for. I will tell you that neither school is a joke academically, they are working hard!!
Can someone chance me:
SAT: 1280
GPA: 3.7 uw 3.9 w
Ecs: field hockey, lax, team theater, student council, golf, environmental club, part time job, play piano, volunteer at a retirement home, and babysit part time
I’ve taken nearly all honors and 1 AP course along with a dual credit course
Essay: pretty strong in showing how I’ve overcome issues in my life
I’m a white female oos and I applied for the aces program. I’ve talked to an admissions officer on a few occasions and have been to the campus for the open house. How do my chances look??
@pes2023 match
This is pretty long, but would someone mind chancing me?

Additional Info :
I’m also a gap year applicant. Although I’d never had the intentions to take a gap year, my family could not afford to send both my twin and myself to the colleges we had gotten into. One of us was going to have to put our academic futures on hold for the time being and I wasn’t going to let my brother get dragged down (although he has since transferred to a community college, so I can now afford to attend schools). However, despite how negative the nature of this gap year may sound, this has turned out to be one of the most enjoyable years of my life. Throughout this gap year I’ve pursued my ESports career in Counter Strike : Global Offensive while also taking many mathematics courses on Khan Academy and a multitude of programming courses on sites similar to CodeAcademy in an attempt to further my knowledge in the subjects I’m passionate about.
ESport Achievements :
-ESEA Rank G (only the top 250 players in a game with 11,000,000+ daily users are invited)
-1st Place Faceit Point Cup x2
-2nd Place ESEA MSI Club - September 18th, 2018
-3rd place ESEA MSI Club - October 8th, 2018
-S29 ESEA IM
-$1,000+ in prize money/equipment won
Math courses taken on Khan Academy :
-Differential Calculus
-Calculus 1
-Calculus 2
Programming languages that I’ve been learning on Code Academy:
-Python
-C++
In the months that are to follow, I plan on doing the following…
-Travel across the US to attend LAN events
-Take Khan Academy’s Electrical Engineering and Organic Chemistry
-Continue to further my knowledge of Python and C++
