Most UConn decisions won’t come until March so don’t fret… School of Fine Arts always releases around this time.
can anyone find the link to decisions last year
@mayaaaad looking at last years thread decisions came out on the 28th around 8pm
Looks like February 28 was the big portal update but that some people got snail mail letters earlier. Earliest I can see from looking at the thread was February 12.
Just got an email from UCONN regarding my acceptance so thought I would check here if anyone else had heard back yet… Looks like it’ll still be a while.
I was actually accepted around Christmastime because I applied for the Nutmeg Scholarship, and was luckily chosen as a recipient!
Good luck to everyone in the following month!!
Hi @emilynels congratulations on your acceptance!! Do you mind posting your stats?
@pes2023 thank you and sure!
1410 SAT
110 weighted GPA (don’t have a 4.0 scale)
8 APs
And a lot of ECs, I think my Common App & Nutmeg Supplemental essays were pretty well done too so that portion of the application is definitely very important.
I’m in-state, that’s why I was able to apply early and be nominated for Nutmeg. I had to have an interview on campus as well.
Is anyone in here in the running for the Stamps Scholarship at UConn? I have my interview this week and not sure how to prepare!
Congrats! Were you a national merit scholar?
Thanks! And yes, I’m NMSF
Hey guys! I just received my acceptance letter for the major Animal Science. It was dated January 28. I’m Out-Of-State, applied like January 1, so pretty late, and also got int the honors program and the Academic Excellence Scholarship for $18,500 a year.
I’m really surprised it came out so soon! I really wasn’t expecting anything until March 1, but it was a nice surprise!
@teddy10143 Congrats!!
Very excited to hear than results are starting to come out.
How did you hear? Email? Portal? USPS?
eta: Also, what are your stats? (If you don’t mind sharing.)
I got a letter in the mail. Act: 32, Weighted GPA: 3.91, AP: APUSH 3, I volunteered and now work at a dog and cat spaying and neutering center and also have a business that donates the profit to animal shelters in my area. I’m also out of state
I submitted my app on Nov1 and havnt heard anything … my mid-year transcripts and common app were received but still waiting … so they should come out starting in late Feb?? UConn’s not one of my tops but its still nice to know when they will start releasing offers.
Idk but I think that’s strange… since I submitted mine in January and already heard back. Idk about other people though, maybe mine’s the odd one. It probably has to do with the major you applied to maybe. I remember reading on their website they say somewhere around March 1 is when the majority of decisions come out, so only one month!
March 1 is when the majority of the decisions were released last year. There were a few that came out around 2/12 but I believe it was only for a specific major.
My daughter received a letter by mail in mid January. I think she posted about it earlier. She also got into the honors college as a film and theater major.
@abuzby Did U Conn ask for the mid year transcripts. . I Called them last week and they said they don’t ask for it. I am not sure if I should send them now.
Quick question: Checking app status page, it shows that SAT/ACT and Transcripts were received. It does not mention whether or not FAFSA was received, or letters of recommendation that were supposedly sent. Just wondering if that is the same for others, or if they actually see these things.
Thanks
