UConn, Delaware or Fordham

Fordham is best renowned for its accounting program. The connections we have with the big 4 accounting firms are just amazing. I myself am an accounting major and I know this for a fact. According to Business Week, the median salary of those who graduate from Fordham is $53,000, and basically 92 people landed jobs with the big 4 last year. Most of you on this thread have gotten the facts twisted, Fordham is not known for its recruiting when it comes Finance/Investment Banking but accounting. We are still working on improving our connections with the top Investment Banking firms like GS. However, numerous amount of students do land jobs with JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley.
Also, according to Business Week, Fordham is ranked 34, Delaware is ranked 61, and UConn is ranked 64.
I think Business Week is a better source than US News or any of those BS rankings, since their research is comprehensive and put huge emphasis on rankings. When you consider UConn's median base salary of $37,000 vs. Fordham's $53,000, I think you should forget about the yearly tuition. Couple that with NY vs. Connecticut/Delaware and a quality and well-rounded education you get at Fordham, the decision becomes easy.

The median was screwed up this year for UConn....the number is, I think, $43,500. If they got the right figure, UConn would be much much higher. Call Lorraine in the Business School Career Center at UConn to get more info.

Fordham and UConn are on equal footing. I just graduated UConn Business, got into Fordham as a Freshman, and know a bunch of people that went to Fordham from my prep school. They get the same jobs, believe me.... Fordham grads may get paid higher salaries, but come on.... look at the market they are in! New York City is not a cheap place to live.

you are right about that
