UConn Nutmeg Scholarship

Hey everyone,

Has anyone received anything about the UConn Nutmeg Scholarship yet? I read that they're supposed to notify finalists in Feb. and I'm just curious as to whether any CCers have been selected yet.

NOTE: This only applies to in-state students because the scholarship is not available to OOS applicants.

no idea. i’m waiting on this as well.
on a different note, i recognize you from the SC boards… i hope you become a finalist bc if you don’t, there’s no way i do!

Thanks! Good luck to you too:) But to be honest, I have no idea what my chances are. Do you know how many people receive the scholarship because I cannot seem to find that info. anywhere?

i have no idea… they haven’t made it very clear. i know in years past the process has been different so i dont know.

My son hasn’t recieved any information yet either. I called the office and they said nothing went out yet.

Ok, thanks for the update! That’s reassuring. Good luck to your son:)

Good Luck to you as well!

girl at my school said she got finalist notification early last week… looks like non finalists may not be notified?

Yeah, I don’t think non-finalists are notified but still…that news really seems to contradict what mathlady said about the fact that nothing went out as of feb 10th.

well i have a first hand account from a friend with no motive to lie against something somebody said anonymously on a forum. i’m gonna go with the first hand account

I just emailed admissions and today they said all finalists have been notiifed. I think the office is very disorganized since yesterday they said the letters hadn’t gone out.

@mumurthigal: sorry…I wasn’t at all trying to accuse you of lying. I just thought it seemed a little strange. Didn’t mean for my post to come off the way it did. @mathlady: thanks again for all the updates.

No problem, or offense taken. I know that these messages never sound quite as we mean them too. At least now we know we can stop hoping and move on.
