I am a senior in highschool and my #1college/university right now is Uconn. i have the following information:

98.7 gpa (4.0)

SAT (1st time) 1680 (1160 with only math and reading)

SAT (2nd time) 1620 (1100 with only math and reading)

go to a technical highschool, in the culinary arts department

no extracurricular activities/ work/ community service

some leadership experience (in school)

i'm just really nervous about getting in. all my guidance councilor had said was "your SAT's look fine (1st time), but i want you to get 20 more points in reading (for a total of 560 in reading, 1180 combine with math)" im just really nervous since both my math and reading dropped the second time around.

can i just have some motivational talk, i guess. id like that and the truth of what you think. also, if you had been admitted in the past few years, if you could share your SAT scores and grades, id appreciate it

Your gpa is solid and your SAT falls in the middle 50%, but on the lower end of it. The only thing holding you back will be your lack of ECs. You should try getting involved in something because if any college sees that empty they will probably be expecting much higher scores.
What is your course rigor like? Did you take any honors/AP classes?

math, honors first 3 years. taking hon pre-calc (highest math class offered) and trig this year (trig is not offered in honors)
-science, honors first 3 years. taking physics this year, not considered an honors course and will only count for honors creidit if you are in a specific trade (not the trade im in)
-history, honors my jr year. not taking a history class my sr year

unfortunately, no ap courses are offered at my school

my school also doesn’t offer much in the way of EC’s beside sports, but i am not good at them.
