Bump…

Bump…

UConn loves SAT’s and yours are great. GPA might be a little low for Honors, but alot depends on your class ranking for honors. Special program in medicine is hard to get into but it is worth a shot. Just make sure all your application materials are in by December 1.

I think you have a great chance. Like Bucasmom said, your applying for a competetive program. If Syracuse is your number one school, you could apply earlier for an Early Decision. Just be careful, it is binding.

I would agree with bucasmom. Honors and the medicine programs are becoming fairly competitive. I believe there’s only one application date for all students now, however. (source: [UConn nixes early admission, gives one deadline for all applicants - News - The Daily Campus - University of Connecticut](http://www.dailycampus.com/news/uconn-nixes-early-admission-gives-one-deadline-for-all-applicants-1.2845798#.T-X31rUV0Vw)). If you keep your grades up senior year however, this actually works to your advantage to show your continued uptrend in the first semester.

True, there is only one deadline for applications, but the Special Programs in medicine, dentistry and Law still require that you submit your applications early by December 1. There are special essays, LOR’s etc., then if you make the first cut, there are interviews.
