I am a college sophomore looking to transfer for the fall. I graduated High School with a 3.97 and 98 average. I got a 1790 on my SATs. I have been attending Binghamton University. Leaving Binghamton is practically suicide as far as it being a fantastic school; it's incredibly selective. I know it's stupid to leave it, but I just don't like the distance from home (I live in Fairfield County in CT).

Basically, I'm trying to find a reputable school closer to home (within two hours). My average GPA at Binghamton was a 3.05 (it's a tough school, don't judge).

I'm looking at UCONN, Rutgers, SUNY New Paltz and possibly others including Ramapo. I am an Environmental Studies/Conservation Biology major.

If anyone knows about these schools or has other suggestions that would be great! Price is a big deal with my family, so if you know great public schools that would help as well.

I know someone said this on your other thread, but Stony Brook would be perfect! I think it has the best rep out of all schools you mentioned and it is the same price as the in-state tuition for UConn. I am highly considering it-- and you should visit it too. The campus is 500x than UConn. :)

Jme, have YOU ever been to UConn? It is one of the nicest campuses I have ever been too… And I have been to a lot. And Stony Brook academically does not compare to UConn…
