uconn vs. villanova

i've been accepted to both university of connecticut and villanova, and i absolutely can't decide which one is a better fit for me. i want a school with a good academic reputation, but i want to have fun too! i hear a lot of rumors about "villanofun", but i don't know a lot about the academic reputation of uconn. i received adequate financial aid for both, so the cost isn't really an issue. ANY opinions at all, or information about either school, would be awesome. thanks!!

fun can always be found at a college. i’d go with the better academic reputation, whatever you feel is stronger. Just out of curiosityyy what were your stats to get accepted at these schools since i will be applying in the next few years and im interested in what they are accepting.

i got in early action for both… my sats were 1380/2100
math: 660
verbal: 720
writing: 720

and my gpa was a 3.53 …which isn’t that great, but i go to bergen acadmies, which is a magnet school so i take all honors classes. i don’t know if they considered that when they looked at my gpa or not, but i heard that they do. good luck!

I was accepted to both schools as well – I eliminated Villanova though because of the 52,000 price tag that came with it. Got the leadership scholarship at Uconn which is paying for half my tuition (OOS) so it’s a lot more affordable.

Stats were 3.57 GPA Unweighted
1320/1930

720 Math
610 Reading
600 Writing

Had a ton of ECs though: 4 year varsity soccer + tennis, President/founder of recycling club, choral groups, 4 years drama, peer leaders etc.

*1330/1930, typo I apologize
