you only get transcripts from the school you graduated from. If you look at the UCR profile, you will notice it only asks for the transcripts from the school you graduated from. and also remember in the uc application it also only asks for the school you graduated from…not your whole hs history. they only want to know that you graduated from hs…totally different purpose compared to your CC transcripts. I believe UCLA and UCSB don’t ask for transcripts. for UCSB you need to be IGETC certifiied though.

@chelz thanks(: that’s what I figured but i was worried bc I have a transcript from the high school I graduated from and since I was only there for a year it only shows a small amount of units completed. it does state that I received my diploma though. I think i’ll call UCR tomorrow just to be sure

np…i actually attended my last hs for just 1 semester too. but when i transferred, they inputted the grades i got from my old hs so it looks like i attended their school since freshmen year…i think that’s the norm. UCs just want them to see if you graduated or not so i guess it’s not that big of a deal. is your hs like in another state or something? my last school was super ghetto with an incompetent staff imo so i’m a bit worried they lost my transcripts or something…i know…paranoia of mine kickin in

no it’s not in another state but it’s kinda far . that’s weird that mine didn’t include my grades from my original hs. it is def an official transcript too bc I received it sealed and it has a special seal on it. jeez my hs must be super ghetto if they can’t even make sufficient transcripts :/

@lalady I’m taking the foreign language requirement at my cc. I thought because I got a C- in high school that they wouldn’t transfer. but a counselor recently told me that C- in high school for the language requirements DO transfer. I wish I had known that earlier so I wouldn’t be stuck taking spanish 2 right now. I couldn’t even drop it if I wanted to bc I need it to have 60 units.

I just called ucr and they said they don’t need high school transcripts from transfer students at all. I asked if any UC requires them and they said no. I really don’t believe that at all lol especially since most transfer use their language requirements from high school. lmao stupid ucr but at least they told me what I wanted to hear. maybe I won’t have to submit my hs transcripts at all since Im doing my language req at cc. I’ll figure it out forsure when I know what UC I’m deff going to.

whaa that’s so weird…it clearly states that they haven’t received it in our profiles though…I heard some UCs want it no matter what even if you finish your language requirement at your CC. could you give me their number? I wanna call and see if they give the same answer twice.

ugh some girl picked up and i asked her and shes like yeah…it’s required for transfers because there’s something on there that we need to look at if you wanna graduate from ucr…so i asked what would happen if i failed to turn in a transcript? and shes like uhhh let me transfer you over to the transfer dept. and then i was put on hold and they aren’t picking up. ill try calling again tomorrow…i love how they can never give us a straight answer

I think I talked to the same girl as you. she sounded like a current student or something. she transferred me to a counselor and they picked up right away told me transfers don’t need hs transcripts and that i should email addmissions and tell them im a transfer and they will take that requirement of of my UCR portal. I think they were just bsing us bc they were closing soon or something.

did you get your acceptance letter yet btw? I swear it’s been 15 days and still nada for me atleast. Yeah I think whoever you talked to was being ■■■■■■■■. Ill try to call again tomorrow forsure

me and my bf were looking for our professors on facebook bc were dumb and we found two of them and they both went to UCR. lmao i think its funny that i’m going to go to a better UC than them.

sorry I know UCR is a great school my sister went there. But the professors i mentioned act like they know everything and they were also some of the toughest graders i’ve ever had. I expected them to have gone somewhere like the claremont colleges or at least somewhere that matched their personalities.
