Judging from the stats of those that got accepted tonight, I’m sure for the majority UCR was the “last resort” back up selection. If there is anyone that truly considered UCR their first choice and was solely anticipating its acceptance notification then I apologize for the snide remarks. Other than that, I’m sure the excitement of a UCR acceptance will fade extremely quickly in the next few weeks.</p>

<p>I didn’t even expect to get the e-mail in this early so it was a surprise. Got accepted and I’ll be going here and I’m happy about it. Can’t afford the dorms anywhere and don’t want to drive so far anyway. I also feel at home here and wouldn’t choose anywhere else. Some people just want to crap on everyone’s parade and that’s cool; let them. It just shows the sour person that they are.</p>

<p>I didn’t apply to UCR, but congrats to all! Finally, the first first UC acceptances of 2012!
