feeling wrecked when you end up with the automated voice message =.=
@Pyndown1 You can find your UC app ID at the My UC application website.

called and got the unable to disclose nonsense
Can anyone confirm that if you had a blank major, you are accepted? Also, I have a theory about if you called and they didnt tell you your admission status, maybe, MAYBE, you were rejected and they didnt want to tell you. Just a theory.
Seriously wtf is going onā¦I feel like this is all a cover-up. Maybe UCR didnāt finish reviewing all our applications because they procrastinated this year? Last year they had decisions in by January, maybe a bunch more people applied this time and they arenāt able to handle this āunprecedented volumeā (while UCLA has 100k+ applications to review).
But theyāre denying to disclose decisions without taking you DOB and APP ID
Than how would they know who u are and ur admission status
No no one can really confirm anything, no one really knows anymore than anyone else. I donāt even think UCR knows lol and your theory is good, but I think it may depend on the admissions officer who answers the phone imo. Also, itās pretty standard for schools not to give decisions via phone. And the people being told āthey canāt discloseā probably didnāt even tell them their information before so they canāt possibly know their status.
I got through for my son, we had a blank major, they didnāt want to tell me unless I had a āglitchā because otherwise everyone would expect an answer over the phone ā I said everyone who tried to access the portal had a glitch! She asked me to describe the whole toggling between āCongratsā and āunder reviewā, and then she told me we were still under review, not accepted and not rejected yet and to keep checking the portal (which she said would be up tomorrow, but I donāt believe this). So looks like the ācongratsā messages may have been false positives if you did not have a major there (although that may not be true for everyone ā my sonās stats are low, UC GPA 3.25 and new SAT 1340, so he is on the fringe and very worried about acceptances).
I told yāall they said the stuff would be up today, but nooooope. They said it would be up by the end of last week, last Wednesday, last Tuesday. Noooope. Itās never coming back and weāre all going to die!!!
What exactly did yāall say? āHi, my name is . My UC ID is _ and my DOB is ___.ā ??? I wana try to call and see what they say.
they didnāt ask for our UC app number, just name and birthdate. I think the response may differ depending on who answers there.
I always get people who refuse to give me my decision
They didnāt ask me for my UC app ID but they asked for SSN & confirm your DOB. If youāre a transfer, most likely your application is still under review. Freshmen, you can go ahead and try since your acceptances come out a little sooner than transfers. Good luck!
I know this is a very stressful for everyone, but please try to keep it in perspective. Despite the problems, UCR is still within the time frame for UCs (some donāt come out until later in the month) and many other universities (also later this month). This is an unfortunate situation, and I cannot imagine that UCR is happy about it. They are probably trying to resolve it ASAP. I think at this point it is best to wait for the official word in the form of an email, letter or portal document that does not switch on and off. Good luck to all!!
Thanks for your calming perspective.
Does anyone know when UCI decisions come out?
@MAJOR2082 The prediction is 3/16 (this Thursday).
Iāve heard UCI decisions come out March 16, but Iāve also read decisions are rolling throughout March.
So Iām guessing the people without their majors specified in the āCongratulationsā message are still under review and the people who saw their majors in the message are the valid ones?
